A productive hour can make a big difference. Homework Commons gives students a welcoming, supervised place to finish assignments, study, work on school projects, and get help when they need it. Focus. Finish. Succeed. Get It Done.
Homework doesn’t always have to happen alone at the kitchen table.
Homework Commons provides students with a welcoming place to complete assignments, work on long-term school projects, study with friends, and develop the independent learning skills they’ll use for years to come.
Unlike tutoring, Homework Commons isn’t about giving students answers or teaching classroom lessons. Instead, SPARKGROUNDS facilitators work alongside students—asking questions, helping them organize their work, encouraging productive collaboration, and guiding them toward finding solutions on their own. Our goal is to help students become more confident, capable, and independent learners while ensuring they have the support they need when they get stuck.
Throughout the hour, students may work independently, collaborate appropriately with classmates on shared projects, or receive one-on-one guidance from facilitators as needed. The environment is intentionally quiet enough for focused work while still encouraging discussion, problem-solving, and teamwork when appropriate.
Every session is supervised by experienced SPARKGROUNDS facilitators who have successfully completed Level II background screening and extensive program training. As with all SPARKGROUNDS programs, parents receive automatic notifications when their child arrives and when they depart.
Whether your child wants to finish homework before heading home, make steady progress on a major project, or simply enjoys working alongside other motivated students, Homework Commons offers a productive, welcoming place to get real work done.
Guardians are required to complete our waiver before the first club meeting--if they haven't already done so for a different SPARKGROUNDS event. All events are led by professionally trained and insured staff who have passed a Level 2 background check. Students can withdraw from a class series at any time simply by emailing us and prorated refunds are always provided automatically.
This SPARKGROUNDS event is available for direct pay through Florida's Step Up FES-EO, UA, and PEP scholarships. Find events in the Marketplace by selecting 'find providers' and searching for 'SPARKGROUNDS.'
