Minecraft and Roblox at SPARKGROUNDS are built as shared, social experiences—turning what is often a solo activity into a collaborative, team-based environment.

Participants work together in structured worlds where they take on guided challenges, build shared environments, and solve problems as a group. Along the way, they don’t just play—they begin to understand how these platforms actually work. Students explore the logic, systems, and basic programming behind gameplay, gaining insight into how worlds are created, modified, and controlled.

All activity takes place in a supervised, structured setting with facilitator oversight at all times. Students connect through our controlled servers to ensure a safe, focused environment, and may use SparkGrounds devices (iPads) or bring their own to participate.

Each session introduces new challenges, new goals, and new ways to collaborate. Returning students don’t repeat the same experiences—they take on more complex builds, more strategic challenges, and a deeper look into the systems behind the game. A first-time student might be learning how to contribute to a shared build or complete a structured objective; a returning student might be helping lead a team project, designing systems within a world, or working with the underlying logic that drives gameplay.

Work ranges from creative building to structured challenges and system-based exploration—always grounded in teamwork, communication, and purposeful play.

Classes meet every other week, giving students time between sessions to plan ideas, reflect on challenges, and return ready to build and collaborate further. For a full Monday experience, pair this club with our Robotics Workshop and keep your child working with technology, programming, and building every week.

Guardians are required to complete our waiver before the first club meeting--if they haven't already done so for a different SPARKGROUNDS event. All events are led by professionally trained and insured staff who have passed a Level 2 background check. Students can withdraw from a class series at any time simply by emailing us and prorated refunds are always provided automatically.
