The Breadboard Nightlight Kit turns abstract STEM concepts into something kids can see, build, and proudly use every day. They’ll explore how electricity moves through a circuit, experiment with LEDs and sensors, and learn how engineers prototype using real breadboards—the same tools used in robotics, tech labs, and product design.

Kids begin with a series of beginner-friendly circuit challenges that introduce LEDs, resistors, sensors, and transistors step-by-step. Once they’ve mastered the basics, they’ll take on the big project: wiring a nightlight that automatically turns on when the room gets dark. Watching their circuit come to life is exciting for younger builders and deeply empowering for older students.

With the electronics complete, the project shifts from engineering to art. Kids design and decorate their own nightlight “lens,” turning the finished build into a functional, personal creation—whether it’s a galaxy scene, a favorite character, or an abstract design that glows beautifully in the dark.
