Get ready for a two-hour, hands-on engineering adventure where imagination meets motion! During this event, students will design and build their own Rube Goldberg machines--incredible contraptions that perform a simple task through a wildly creative chain reaction of levers, pulleys, dominoes, ramps, and more.
January 31 Only! | Grades 3 to 12 | One-Day Event
$75.00
Working in small teams, participants will learn how motion, energy, and timing come together to make their inventions spring to life. Each group will brainstorm a task—like popping a balloon or ringing a bell—and then design a machine that accomplishes it in the most over-the-top, roundabout way possible.
By the end of the session, families will be invited to watch as each team unveils and activates their completed Rube Goldberg machine in a spectacular, laughter-filled showcase of creativity and engineering!
And don’t worry--we’ve got lunch covered to keep their engines running!
Guardians are required to complete our waiver before the first club meeting--if they haven't already done so for a different SPARKGROUNDS event. All events are led by professionally trained and insured staff who have passed a Level 2 background check.
